Water Infrastructure Project LeaderWe are seeking an experienced Water Infrastructure Project Leader to lead the delivery of key water infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex water-related civil engineering projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of all construction activities across multiple water infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on-time, and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Management of site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers with a focus on quality and productivity.
  • Maintenance of strict adherence to Irish Water standards and specifications across all project stages.
  • Leadership of Health & Safety initiatives and compliance with company and legal standards on all sites.
  • Oversight of all elements of civil works, including water mains installation, pipelines, reservoirs, and pumping stations.
  • Collaboration with design, planning, and environmental teams to identify risks and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Ensuring site records, contract documentation, and project progress reporting are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Management and monitoring of budgets, materials, and timelines for optimum performance.
  • Supporting handover processes and liaison with clients and local authorities.
  • Promotion of GMC's values, including quality, safety, environmental responsibility, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent construction experience.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing civil or utilities projects, ideally water-related.
  • Experience in the installation of large-diameter water mains, pipelines, or water infrastructure works is highly desirable.
  • Full clean driver's license.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Water specifications and standards is a significant advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Civil Foreman or Site Manager welcomed.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
