About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our logistics and procurement functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and collaborating with various departments to streamline processes and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
    Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business goals. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery reliability. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for the company.
  • Logistics and Transportation:
    Oversee and manage logistics and transportation operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products to meet production and customer needs.
  • Inventory Management:
    Optimize inventory levels to balance carrying costs with production requirements. Implement inventory control processes and systems to track stock movement and manage obsolete items.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management:
    Continuously assess supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary. Develop and maintain a supplier evaluation system that includes key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Cost Optimization & Risk Management:
    Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements, supplier consolidation, and negotiations. Analyse risks within the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and lead the procurement and logistics team, providing mentorship and training. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field. At least 5 years' experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience in manufacturing is essential.

Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in logistics and transportation management software. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and trends for decision-making.
