Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead and drive rail infrastructure projects across Ireland. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering major rail projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction and technical leadership for rail infrastructure, signalling, electrification, and rolling stock projects. They will manage and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, including government bodies, transport authorities, and private sector clients.

The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution. They will also develop and implement project strategies that align with sustainability and carbon reduction goals in rail transport.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Rail Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the rail industry, with a strong track record in project leadership and delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish rail infrastructure, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working on major rail projects, including heavy rail, light rail, metro, and high-speed rail.
  • Strong business development skills, with experience in client engagement and bid management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
