Senior Insurance Underwriter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced underwriter to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and managing applications for life and serious illness products, ensuring that they meet our company's underwriting and claims guidelines.
- Making accurate and timely decisions that align with company's underwriting and claims guidelines.
- Managing and resolving any challenges to decisions by clearly explaining the reasons behind them.
- Communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers and advisers.
- Promoting quality within the team by identifying errors, analysing root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Fluency in written and spoken German is essential.
- A couple of years of market experience with underwriting authority for life or serious illness, or relevant risk claims experience; alternatively, a medical qualification such as nursing.
- A relevant business or industry qualification, or a medical degree.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A strong base salary, depending on experience, between 65,000 and 73,000 per annum.
- An annual bonus.
- A pension scheme and healthcare scheme.
- Dublin South.
- Initial training period mainly office based, hybrid afterwards.
