Senior Manager, Housing Benefit Services

The Senior Manager, Housing Benefit Services is a key role within the senior management team, responsible for leading and overseeing various aspects of Housing Benefit support functions.

  • Leads and oversees Housing Benefit Policy, Systems, Owner-Occupiers, Recovery, Audit & Projects.
  • Works collaboratively within the Housing Benefit senior management team, reporting to the Assistant Director.
  • Requires a degree-level qualification or equivalent (Level 6*) qualification and 3 years' relevant experience; or demonstrates equivalent continuing professional development/experiential learning and at least 5 years' experience working within Housing Benefit, Grants, Supporting People, social housing, or other Social Security related benefit function.
Key Requirements:

Candidates must possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong understanding of Housing Benefit policies and procedures is essential.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide evidence of their experience and qualifications, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services to customers.
