Senior Logistics Manager Job Opportunity

Job Overview:

We have an excellent chance for a skilled Senior Logistics Supervisor to lead our logistics team in Shannon, Ireland. The successful candidate will report to the European Logistics Manager and work on a full-time permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the onsite logistics team, focusing on individual and team performance improvement.
  • Oversee HR aspects, including recruitment, annual reviews, and employee training within the team.
  • Coordinate the team's workload, considering absences and job rotation across all workstations.
  • Determine human, financial, and technical needs with site management collaboration.
  • Supervise logistics and storage of inbound/outbound materials and goods.
  • Organize inventory cycle counts as per Finance-approved schedule.
  • Liaise with Planning teams to ensure shipment fulfillment meets weekly targets.
  • Guarantee orders are dispatched according to scheduled ship dates, meeting customer delivery times.
  • Liaise with Sales teams regarding receiving, shipping, inventory, or documentation issues.
  • Monitor company chosen freight routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure the Logistics team adheres to prevailing safety regulations in the Health and Safety Manual.
Key Performance Areas:
  • Maintain relationships with freight suppliers, negotiating best-in-class rates.
  • Understand global Trade Tariffs' impact, reporting data to relevant Business Units.
Essential Requirements / Skills / Attributes:
  • Previous experience managing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • High attention to detail and accurate data processing; numerical competency required.
  • Experience managing inventory transactions in ERP systems.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Advanced PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of international trade flows, Customs procedures, and Incoterms.
  • Able to demonstrate creative problem-solving for new logistics challenges.
