**Job Opportunity: Transformation in the Agri-Food Sector**

This position plays a vital role in enhancing efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and strengthening cross-border trade in the Products of Animal Origin (POAO) supply chain. The POAO trade is crucial to both Northern Ireland's agri-food sector, which contributes £5bn annually and supports over 113,000 jobs, and the Republic of Ireland.

The TRACE project aims to establish a cross-border innovation hub to transform the agri-food sector in NI and ROI, focusing on POAO. By deploying advanced technologies like hyperspectral imaging, computer vision, IoT sensors, and blockchain, TRACE will monitor food quality, safety, and animal welfare in real-time, enhancing transparency. AI and machine learning will analyze data from pilot sites to identify inefficiencies and opportunities.

This position involves working on a Temporary Full-time contract with a salary scale of €46,305 - €59,063 per annum. The default position for all new public sector appointments is the 1st point of the salary scale, which may be reviewed based on prior experience.
