About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Center Architect to lead and manage the physical infrastructure of our next-generation data centers. This role will be responsible for the design and deployment of high-density AI data centers, ensuring optimal power distribution, cooling and networking for compute cluster.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of experience in architecting large-scale data center infrastructures. They must possess comprehensive understanding of features and control methodologies for key components such as CDU, AHU and cooling towers for temperature control and UPS, batteries, transformer and bus-bar for power supply/distribution.

Responsibilities

  • • Oversee the design, deployment, and Operation of next-generation data centers, covering power distribution, cooling, networking, physical security and cost-optimization.

  • • Implement and optimize waterless, energy-efficient and high-density cooling systems.

  • • Manage power distribution and redundancy, including UPS, backup power systems, etc.

  • • Ensure high-bandwidth, low-latency networking to support multi-datacenter workloads.

  • • Contribute to the validation and implementation of key technologies, deciding the evolution of technology approaches for our future AI datacenters.

  • • Keep track of the latest technological trends in the industry, analyze advanced technologies adopted by competitors, and evaluate their potential value and benefits.

  • • Identify opportunities for integrating new technologies into self-built data centers, and proactively plan and validate these technologies in advance.

  • • Serve as a technical expert in diagnosing infrastructure failures, proposing effective solutions and driving resolutions on critical technical conflicts.

  • • Offer insights about infrastructure failures, drive effective problem resolution, and leverage these experiences to enhance future designs.

  • • Balance multiple factors such as cost, capability, and size to find the optimal solution, and engage in the selection and review process.

  • • Represent us in showcasing the competitiveness of our data center infrastructure solutions to clients and establish significant influence in the industry.


Required Skills and Qualifications

- At least 10+ years of experience in architecting large-scale data center infrastructures.
- Comprehensive understanding of features and control methodologies for the key components such as CDU, AHU and cooling towers for temperature control and UPS, batteries, transformer and bus-bar for power supply/distribution.
- Proficient in quantitative analysis and simulation of data center temperature controlling and power supply/distribution solutions within data centers.
- Understand the core technologies across various subfields of data center infrastructure, with advanced expertise in power supply/distribution or thermal control technologies.
- Demonstrate strong professional acumen and cross-disciplinary learning passion, with ability to gain deep insights into key technologies and understand the pain points of our data centers.
