Job Summary

Freight Planning Role

We are seeking a skilled freight planner to support our logistics activities. This role involves coordinating freight planning, vendor management and ensuring timely billing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of freight plans and coordinate logistics activities.
  • Evaluate rate files and ensure they are current and up-to-date on SharePoint.
  • Coordinate PO requests for month-end reconciliations.
  • Check queried vendor invoices where disputes exist.
  • Produce commercial KPIs and create PowerPoint slides for senior leadership.
  • Support projects related to operational efficiency and cost improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in freight/logistics/import/export roles.
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Understanding of negotiation/procurement processes.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan accordingly.
  • Practical problem-solving skills.
  • Credible communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative ideas.
