About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior Site Engineer to support our Senior Engineer and Project Manager on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and checking works as required, ensuring all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations.

The role involves liaising and managing sub-contractors and personnel on site, as well as supporting the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out and checking works as required
  • Liaising and managing sub-contractors and personnel on site
  • Supporting the Project Manager/Contracts Manager
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors and site personnel
  • Supervising works and checking the quality of works to ensure they are of a high standard

Requirements:

  • A recently obtained Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Working knowledge of total station/robotic total station
  • Ideal experience includes a placement completed with a main contractor in Ireland
  • Ability to use setting out instruments is essential and being competent in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination
  • Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint
