Network Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining network security solutions using firewall management software/products.

The successful candidate will have experience in deploying and maintaining intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), understanding network security requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, and developing solutions.

Key responsibilities include conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommending improvements, monitoring network traffic and security logs for suspicious activities and breaches, keeping network devices and software updated with security patches, performing backups of network and firewall equipment, evaluating and analyzing network security products, and implementing encryption protocols (e.g., VPNs, SSL/TLS).

Maintaining documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures is also essential.

Required skills and qualifications include familiarity with network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, load balancers, Checkpoint Firewall, certifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, CND, CCNP Security, basic knowledge of server virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and operating systems (Windows, Linux), basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible), experience troubleshooting complex network security issues, good documentation skills and knowledge base building, and being a responsible, conscientious, team player, resourceful, independent, proactive individual.
