About the Role:

Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a highly skilled Production/Test Technician to join their team on a 23 month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications and methodologies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conducting quality control checks on manufactured products;
  • Investigating and resolving faults down to component level;
  • Preparing materials and equipment for testing purposes;
  • Determining the root cause of malfunctions and non-conformities in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and chemical systems;
  • Supporting Engineering in the development and implementation of new test procedures, equipment and products;
  • Evaluating and approving repair work to ensure it meets quality standards;
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve ongoing issues;
  • Contributing to the design of test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures;
  • Managing and maintaining accurate Quality records for each system/module;
  • Complying with Quality policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment;
  • Experience as a Test Technician in a mechanical or electrical environment a plus;
  • Related third level qualification QQI Level 6 and above;
  • SAP Experience.
