Job Details:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing leader to join our team at a 51-bed residential care home in Galway, Ireland.

Role Overview:

  • This role is responsible for supporting the Director of Nursing in managing the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations of the home.
  • The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of care for residents, lead and motivate nursing staff, and promote a positive, person-centred care environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve resident outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.
  4. Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain HIQA Standards and National Standards for Residential Care Settings.

Necessary Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience in nursing management or in a nursing home/aged care setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA Standards, National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People in Ireland, and relevant legislation.
