
Senior Scientific Test Specialist

The successful candidate will perform scientific tests on customer samples, ensuring accurate and timely results. As a skilled laboratory analyst, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and non-routine analysis as required by the laboratory, utilizing your expertise to deliver high-quality results.
- Prepare and approve test results within areas of competence, upholding our commitment to accuracy and reliability.
- Awareness of customer requirements is essential; ensure the testing cycle is complete when the customer receives their report, providing a seamless experience.
- Handle customer queries efficiently, communicating significant results promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated with technological or methodological changes, adapting work practices accordingly to maintain our position at the forefront of industry advancements.
- Train junior staff members in analytical techniques as needed, fostering growth and development within our team.
- Perform quality control (QC) samples in line with company procedures, guaranteeing consistency and reliability across all operations.
- Revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required by the laboratory, ensuring our processes remain efficient and effective.
- Participate in the weekend rota and/or overtime schedule as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to meeting our organizational objectives.
- Update relevant documentation accurately, on time, and legibly, maintaining our high standard of record-keeping.
- Deputize for supervisors or managers as needed, exercising leadership skills and taking responsibility for key tasks.
- Maintain a clean and tidy laboratory area, adhering to safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.
- Provide cover for other team members as required, showcasing your ability to adapt and support the team's workload.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, on time, and legibly, upholding our commitment to precision and attention to detail.
- Keep training records up-to-date and proactively initiate further training where possible, recognizing the value of continuous professional development.
- Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and quality standards, notifying management of any discrepancies promptly.
- Fully meet customer requirements, being flexible to work in any area of the business as needed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in quality and service, collaborating with the team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
