Job Title: Day Services Instructor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Day Services Instructor to join our team.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized programs tailored to the unique needs and abilities of service users.
  • They will provide guidance, instruction, and supervision to service users, as well as facilitate regular supervision sessions in all programs.
  • The instructor will work closely with service users to identify and develop community-based activities that promote socialization and skill-building.
  • They will also identify and facilitate formal and informal training opportunities for service users, ensuring they receive the support they need to reach their full potential.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate may be required to:

  • Ensure the timely ordering of program materials and resources.
  • Participate in client review meetings and other relevant forums as requested.
  • Liaise with external agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Promote a philosophy of care that prioritizes respect, empathy, and inclusivity.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation and reporting for service user files.
  • Compile reports for Multi-Disciplinary Teams and other stakeholders as required.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Assist service users with personal care and medication management as needed.
  • Develop strategies to manage challenging behaviors and promote positive relationships.
  • Familiarize themselves with organizational policies and procedures.
