Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Biopharma Laboratory Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality laboratory operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and implementing improvements in systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality in the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Biopharma department by leading and coaching group leaders, scientists, and project managers in laboratory operations.
  • Plan, direct, and implement improvements in systems, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality in the laboratory.
  • Assist the division director in longer-term planning, business development, and expansion initiatives by providing mid-range (1-3 month) resource utilization predictions for a department.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a laboratory management position, with 5+ years of management responsibility.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • A full understanding of laboratory requirements, PPD SOPs, ICH guidelines, USP requirements, and FDA guidance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with clients on timelines and pricing.
  • Project and time management skills, with the ability to implement quality systems and process improvements.
