Procurement Specialist Opportunity

An experienced Procurement Specialist is required to lead procurement and supplier management for a high-quality kitchen manufacturer. With over three decades of expertise, the company continues to grow, and this senior role offers significant responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Reviewing and building a strong supplier base through performance assessments and new proposals.
  • Staying up-to-date with new design and manufacturing trends within the industry.
  • Creating and maintaining catalogues of material and labour costings.
  • Preparing and updating pricelists for the sales and design team.
  • Developing a stock management system for efficient monitoring and ordering.
  • Overseeing purchasing of all required materials and supplies based on stock levels and job requirements.
  • Reviewing supplier invoices to ensure accuracy against agreed quotations.
  • Implementing continuous improvements, including introducing systems/software to enhance efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the kitchen, joinery, or fitted furniture industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cabinetry, materials, and components, with the ability to break down costs accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/stock control systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Professional, reliable, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
