Water Resource Engineer (Mining) Role

This full-time opportunity focuses on working within the Mine Water team on projects predominantly in the mining sector, with opportunities to work across various sectors.

The role requires contributing to water resources aspects of mining projects, including environmental assessments, permitting, engineering design, ESG considerations, and water stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct climate, hydrological, and hydraulic assessments; develop water management plans; perform water balance modelling; conduct climate change modelling; and design water management infrastructure.
  • Conduct dam break analyses and consequence classification assessments.
  • Prepare technical documents for senior review.
  • Support non-mining projects, including Flood Risk Assessments and SuDS design.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BSc degree in Water Resource Engineering or Civil Engineering, or BSc in Geography or Environmental Sciences.
  • Strong technical and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in an open and collaborative manner as part of a team.
  • Good organisational ability and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
