Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned R&D engineer with expertise in catheter design and development to lead our team in creating innovative medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop cutting-edge pVAD catheters through concept definition, device requirement specification, and proof of principle design.
  • Promote the assembly and manufacturing processes for next-generation catheters.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with novel developments.
  • Utilize risk management tools such as DFMEA and PFMEA.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure physician advisor input and clinical relevance.
Requirements:
  • A self-directed engineer with entrepreneurial drive and experience in cardiovascular device development.
  • A well-established vendor network relevant to the device type.
  • Familiarity with polymer processing techniques, flow mechanics, and dynamics.
  • An intimate understanding of interventional cardiology device requirements and structural heart applications.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and at least one other European language.
  • A Master's or primary degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
