Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
About the RoleThis role provides critical support to Product Operations in Cork and at EMEIA Distribution Centre locations. You will contribute to achieving World Class Manufacturing standards by driving continuous process improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Design, commissioning and qualification of semi-automated and automated fixturing
- Support New Product Introductions across several product lines
- Drive cycle time improvement, line balancing, line design, yield improvement and scrap reduction
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in engineering with experience in manufacturing operations automation. Additionally, excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
- B.Eng (Hons) / M.Eng in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of a 2.1 (Hons) degree is required
We are looking for individuals who consistently identify, initiate and drive continuous improvement throughout the business. Experience in lean manufacturing principles and six sigma quality training is an advantage.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles including 5S, WCM, Standard Work and TPM
- Strong sense of urgency and customer orientation
- Computer-literate with experience of appropriate simulation and CAD packages
- Excellent analytical, data analysis and problem solving skills
