We are seeking a director with expertise in disability policy and practice, governance, advocacy, research, and/or best-practices standards in providing services to people with intellectual disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join our board of directors and contribute to the strategic direction of our organisation.

About Us:

Cheeverstown Entities are a group of charities and companies that provide services to individuals with intellectual disabilities across South Dublin and Kildare. They include Cheeverstown House CLG, Cheeverstown School CLG, and Cheeverstown CLG.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in disability policy and practice, as well as experience in governance, advocacy, research, and/or best-practices standards. They should also be able to commit to attending approximately 9 board meetings per annum, with additional time required for preparatory reading and sub-committee work.

Benefits:

Our directors receive no payment, other than reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, and serve up to a maximum of three years, with the option for the chair to extend by a further year. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of our organisation and ensure the highest standards of governance are upheld.
