About the Role

  • As a Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for working with children and young people who are referred to our Special Care Services.
  • You will provide individualised programmes of support and skilled therapeutic interventions to enable children and young people to stabilise and move on to less secure placements.
  • Working closely with families, carers and other professionals, you will ensure that the needs of each child or young person are met and that they receive the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings in relation to the care and development of children and their families.
  • Provide reports and records of any incidents, however minor, that may happen to the children and their families or are caused by them.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that the needs of each child or young person are met.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree Level 7/8 in Social Care.
  • 150 hours of experience in social care or a related field.
  • A working knowledge of HIQA Standards as they apply to the service.
  • CPR, People Moving & Handling and MAPA training.
