Job Opportunity

Seeking an Ecological Consultant to join our team and collaborate in the delivery of ecological services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental conservation, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on protecting biodiversity features during construction projects.
  • Assist clients in achieving compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site-specific surveys to identify protected species and habitats.
  • Consult with local authorities, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies for habitat creation, enhancement, and management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality ecological reports and documents.
Requirements:
  • Third-level qualification in environmental science, ecology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in ecological consultancy, preferably involving practical conservation advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Awareness of Irish and EU environmental legislation and planning guidelines.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to sites.
