Backup Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Backup Engineer to join our Data Protection Services team. As a key member of our infrastructure operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and availability of our data assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Providing expert-level support for Dell PowerProtect technologies.
  • Maintaining compliance with defined controls and standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience working with Dell PowerProtect products, including Data Domain, PowerProtect Data Manager, and Protection Advisor.
  • Knowledge of backup and restore technologies, such as IBM Spectrum Protect and Commvault.
  • Familiarity with backup storage solutions, including AWS S3 and Mainframe Virtual Tape Library (VTL).
  • A strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices.
