Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Lead to spearhead a cross-divisional collaboration on a new product introduction (NPI) project. This project brings together our Joint Replacement division and Additive Personalised Solutions team, with the goal of developing cutting-edge, personalised healthcare technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the technical direction of this project, driving strategy, mentoring and elevating a team of talented engineers, influencing the future of joint replacement solutions, managing high-level stakeholders, and ensuring that project objectives and timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for a cross-functional NPI project, ensuring JR Divisional Requirements are met.
  • Determine the technical objectives of engineering assignments and make decisions regarding the direction and results.
  • Monitor and control progress of work, ensuring sound application of engineering principles and appropriate use of policies and procedures.
  • Lead capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation and validation.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests and result analysis. May lead or act as independent reviewer in process review meetings.
  • Coach and mentor others on functionally related topics.
  • Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with Stryker new product development procedures.

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Biomedical, Mechanical or applicable technical field.
  • 6-8 years plus experience.
  • Strong understanding of post-processing techniques and manufacturing requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical strategies and manage innovation pipelines.
  • Experience in NPI highly desirable.
  • Ability to work successfully in a collaborative, team-based environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
