Job Description:

The AMHS Shift Group Leader is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) during assigned shifts. This role ensures the efficient and safe operation of AMHS equipment, leads a team of technicians, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance and meet production goals.

  1. Shift Management: The successful candidate will lead and manage AMHS operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
  2. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of AMHS technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to support their growth and development.
  3. Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure high equipment availability and reliability, minimizing downtime and production impact.
  4. Troubleshooting: Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve equipment issues promptly, utilizing data analytics to drive decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process and equipment enhancements, implementing changes to enhance safety, quality, and productivity, and driving a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  6. Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor equipment performance, identify trends, and drive data-driven decision-making to optimize system performance and meet production goals.
  7. Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed, promoting a culture of safety within the team and maintaining a safe working environment.
  8. Project Management: Lead and participate in projects related to equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, engineering, and suppliers, to address equipment-related issues and support overall manufacturing goals.
  10. Reporting: Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance activities, and shift reports, providing transparent and timely information to stakeholders.
Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, the candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field;
  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise.

  • Familiarity with lean principles and tools, with experience applying them to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
