Job Title: Data Governance Project Manager

This role involves leading a data governance initiative to establish foundational governance structures and improve data quality. The ideal candidate will have experience with data governance frameworks and strong project management principles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a detailed project plan, assessing current and future state data quality and governance requirements, and identifying resource requirements for ongoing maintenance of the data framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a detailed project plan for the data governance initiative.
  • Assess the current and future state data quality and governance requirements of HBFI.
  • Identify HBFI resource requirements for ongoing maintenance of the data framework.
  • Implement or enhance HBFI policies, procedures, and related documentation underpinning the Data Governance Framework.
  • Provide regular progress updates and a final project report to senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in data analytics and governance within a financial services environment.
  • Prior project management experience in designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to support organisational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of report building and visualization in Power BI.
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate independence of mind and make well-judged decisions.
  • Experience delivering short-term, high-impact projects.
  • Ability to identify key areas in policies where further development is needed.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
