Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Transformation Specialist to join our organisation in Galway.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data transformation, including source-to-target reconciliation and validation of transformation logic to ensure data integrity.
  • They will have strong programming ability in Java, Python, or another object-oriented language, with the capability to build custom test automation frameworks as required.
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills for data validations, is highly desirable.
  • A degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
  • The successful candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks to validate data transformations.
  • Designing and implementing test cases to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Working closely with development teams to identify opportunities to design and implement test automation.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide input on test automation strategies.
  • Providing training and support to team members on test automation tools and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of data transformation principles and practices.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or another object-oriented language.
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams.
