We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team in Limerick. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in designing and developing scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
Job Description:This Data Engineer role involves working closely with data analysts and scientists to understand data needs and provide appropriate solutions. You will be responsible for optimizing existing ETL processes to enhance performance and efficiency, ensuring data quality by implementing validation and testing procedures, and monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Optimise existing ETL processes to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality by implementing validation and testing procedures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.
- Expertise in Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Experience in ETL pipeline development and optimisation.
- Strong understanding of SQL, Python and Scala.
- Cloud experience, preferably Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and modelling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- EU passport, Stamp 4 visa or Stamp 1G (spouse).
- Contract: Until end of year, with potential extension.
- Location: Hybrid, working from home and onsite in Limerick.
- Eligibility: Open to Stamp 4, Stamp 1G and EU citizens.
- Experience: 3+ years in data engineering.
