Job Opportunity for Speech and Language Therapist

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on patient care while developing your professional skills in a hospital environment.

  • Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and providing intervention for adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
  • You will work across acute wards, collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Deliver dysphagia assessments and management according to best practice standards.
  • Contribute to discharge planning and care pathways to ensure continuity of care.
Senior Role Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership, clinical supervision, and mentoring to junior staff and students.
  • Take the lead in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and clinical governance activities.
  • Contribute to training and education for healthcare staff on communication and swallowing management.
Requirements:
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Proven experience in adult acute care and dysphagia management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
