Key Mechanical Design Position

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our team in designing advanced food sorting machines. As a key member, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and architecting new machine designs that meet performance and cost targets.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading the design of prototypes and parts, including drafting, testing, and validation.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge of food sorting applications and providing support for sorting issues.
  • Collaborating on technical improvements and proposing enhancements.
  • Organizing and leading design reviews and FMEA sessions to ensure design quality.
  • Maintaining and improving design documentation to meet the requirements of suppliers, manufacturing, and service teams.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the work of junior engineers to meet project deadlines.
  • Representing the mechanical engineering department to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a network and conducting market research for new technologies, materials, suppliers, and partners.

Requirements and Expectations:

  • A strong focus on delivering high-quality mechanical designs and staying updated with new technologies.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on industry experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD, especially SolidWorks.
  • Experience with sheet metal, turning, milling, and welding of stainless steel.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
