This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major initiative in the Water Leakage Reduction Programme. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day planning, design progress, and construction management of water network projects, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage project teams to ensure the successful delivery of clean water main projects and network rehabilitation. Represent the employer throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to completion. Produce feasibility studies, option appraisals, cost plans, and business cases. Work with other design team members in an integrated approach. Prepare contract documents, drawings, and specifications for procurement. Manage project progress against the program, monitor costs, and ensure quality assurance during the construction phase.
Requirements:
A third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. A minimum of 3 years' experience in civil engineering, with a preference for experience in the water or wastewater sector. Excellent communication skills, particularly in report writing and client liaison. A working knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
