Maintenance Coordinator Specialist

The role of the Maintenance Coordinator Specialist at Harmonics involves ensuring equipment reliability and optimising maintenance services. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling maintenance activities, reviewing preventative maintenance schedules, and prioritising tasks to balance user requests and unplanned breakdown remediation.
To achieve this, the individual will compile a schedule of works to match resources available on a daily basis. They will also coordinate with external contractors, scheduling their work to ensure equipment availability and closing out planned orders in SAP. Additionally, they will book services in SAP to enable timely invoicing and payment.
The Maintenance Coordinator Specialist will also manage departmental KPIs and metrics, preparing reports for internal data and disseminating performance information to site and senior management. This includes identifying deficiencies or gaps in compliance that require further action.
In collaboration with suppliers and maintenance technicians, the individual will develop maintenance routines for new equipment. They will also update existing work instructions based on field observations and improvement initiatives.
This role requires strategic management of the Maintenance stores function, ensuring compliance with policies and site strategy. The individual will compile spare parts requirements, set reorder levels on SAP, and conduct cycle counts and stock takes to ensure financial reporting directives are met.
Furthermore, the Maintenance Coordinator Specialist will maintain site training compliance, adhere to GMP & EHS policies, and ensure a clean and tidy workspace. They will also identify and resolve unsafe environmental conditions, manage site cleanliness, and coordinate contractors.
In terms of qualifications, a degree or relevant technical qualification is preferred, along with minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or a technical role in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements, including environmental, health and safety, quality, and employment law, is essential.
Key skills required for this position include maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, and proficiency in SAP.
