Clinical Nurse Manager Opportunity in a Dynamic Nursing Home

A Clinical Nurse Manager position has become available in a well-established nursing home in Carlow.

This exciting opportunity allows you to play a crucial part in a forward-thinking company that provides exceptional support and promotes innovative practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal audits, follow up on results, and implement corrective actions.
  • Initial staff induction and ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging new ideas and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to Company standards, procedures, and guidelines, as well as HIQA regulations.
  • Facilitate regular communication with clinical staff to address concerns and share information.
  • Build relationships with external community agencies to bring the local community into the Home and provide opportunities for residents to engage in community activities.
  • Liaise with Marketing to increase visibility and promote the Home's profile in the local community.
  • Implement Health and Safety policies to safeguard staff, residents, and others.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to ensure the Home's cleanliness and hygiene meet the highest standards.
  • Participate in staff selection and interviewing processes.
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A qualified nurse with at least 3 years' management experience in caring for older adults within the last 6 years.
  • A post-registration management qualification in health or a related field.
  • A proven track record in healthcare clinical management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Sound decision-making ability and a results-driven approach.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and promote a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the organization.
