Key Instrumentation Specialist Role

This critical position involves specifying instrumentation for biopharmaceutical process and utilities systems, as well as supporting all aspects of the site calibration program.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates new instrumentation to ensure functional equivalence to existing equipment.
  • Develops and maintains configuration specifications and standards for cGMP manufacturing instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with common process and utilities instrumentation including load cells, pressure transmitters/gauges, pH sensors, dissolved oxygen sensors, temperature sensors, mass flow meters, UV analyzers, conductivity sensors, TOC analyzers, and level sensors.
  • Works with instrument components and spare parts, serving as the technical SME for the site calibration program.
  • Provides technical guidance to the calibrations operations team and supports regulatory body inspections and audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering along with 5+ years experience for Senior Engineer level and 8+ years experience for Principal Engineer level.
  • Experience with Biopharmaceutical Process and Utilities systems is preferred.
