Job Description

As a Project Manager with Flynn Ireland, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring that your project team delivers on time and on budget to the highest standard of quality, safety & client satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager to develop and update the master construction programme, and ensure that your project meets key milestones.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Determine staff resources for your project and communicate effectively with your team.
  • Implement Flynn's Safety System and establish an excellent safety culture on your project.
  • Manage project quality over the lifecycle and ensure build quality meets expectations.
  • Ensure project costs are managed and prelims/packages are tightly controlled.
  • Work with the commercial team to deliver agreed commercial objectives for your project.
  • Maintain positive relationships with the client team through concise project controls and reporting, keeping them informed of all risks operationally and commercially, including delays and potential claims.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Project Manager with Flynn Ireland, you will require:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • 10+ years construction experience in general contracting with a Tier 1 contractor, with a minimum 5 years as a Project Manager.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver a complex project.
  • Strong numeracy and report writing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Understanding of commercial realities, proposing cost-effective solutions.
  • Computer literate and familiar with MS office, project (or similar scheduling package), CDE's such as Procore, BIM 360 or similar.
