Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Leader to lead the planning, execution, and completion of transmission power projects from inception to delivery.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure project delivery is safe, on time, and within budget through effective resource allocation, timeline management, and risk mitigation.
  • Set the overall standard for projects/contract by establishing clear expectations and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Identify and deliver project requirements through collaborative stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills.
  • Resolve issues in a controlled and timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to project progress.
  • Plan, review, and deliver contract programmes that meet client expectations and drive business growth.
  • Line manage Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, and Section Managers, providing guidance and support to ensure team success.
  • Manage client relationships, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure they are reviewed as needed, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.
  • Resolve operational issues and refer business-critical issues to the Project Director, ensuring seamless project delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience in underground cabling, civils, or power infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Proven experience in a Project Management role, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle phases and ability to navigate complex project environments.
  • Experience in managing site-based projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
