We are collaborating with the Head of FS Tax to recruit a Financial Services Tax Director or Associate Director for their rapidly expanding financial services tax team.

Our client is Ireland's fastest-growing firm, boasting over 3,000 employees across 10 offices in Ireland, the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and Bermuda. They maintain a presence in more than 130 countries worldwide and have close ties with a US-based firm.

As a Financial Services Tax Director or Associate Director, you will be responsible for developing solutions to increasingly complex technical issues. You must demonstrate sufficient technical knowledge of financial services tax to create effective solutions to complex technical challenges. Additionally, you will oversee a team in performing assignments on a day-to-day basis.

Main Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive financial services tax services to a diverse range of clients within various sectors such as asset management, banking, securitisation, aviation finance, leasing, insurance, and fintech.

  • Offer support to clients' transactions, compliance obligations, and assess their tax strategies.
  • Manage multiple advisory and compliance projects simultaneously, including meeting deadlines, prioritization, and billings.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the financial services tax team by proactively managing existing clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Skill Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Essential Qualifications:

  • ATT/ACA/ACCA or CTA certification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience post-qualification working in a financial services tax department, either in industry or professional services.

Detailed Skill Set:

  • A strong grasp of technical knowledge in financial services tax and proven ability to identify opportunities for clients and grow the financial services tax offering.
  • The capacity to work independently.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with clients and the team.
  • Proven business development skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and people development skills to support the growth of junior staff members.
