Accounting Team Lead Job Overview

This is a pivotal role, overseeing a team of accounting professionals and managing workloads to ensure deadlines are met. As the Team Lead, you will provide leadership and support to maintain a high-performing and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a growing Private Equity Fund Accounting team, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Review and oversee NAVs, valuations, and client reporting to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage workloads efficiently while meeting client service levels and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching, training, and continuous development for team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact with clients, auditors, and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Drive improvements in processes, automation, and reporting quality to optimize team efficiency and productivity.
  • Contribute to the department's strategic goals and business priorities, aligning with the organization's objectives.
Requirements:
  • Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Experience reviewing NAVs and providing expert advice on financial matters.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent client service orientation and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Private Equity Fund Accounting knowledge and a willingness to develop quickly in this area.
