Structural Steel Detailer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer to join our organization. As a detailer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of steel fabrication drawings.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with engineers and architects to interpret design specifications, creating detailed shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists using CAD software.

  • Interpret architectural and engineering designs to create precise steel fabrication drawings.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce accurate shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations throughout the detailing process.
  • Collaborate with production teams to facilitate efficient fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Detailer or similar role within the steel fabrication industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel design principles, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
