
Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Development Worker. This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women's equality and well-being.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging in community development work within the local area and facilitating the development, well-being, training, and networking of women.
This is a part-time position with 21 hours per week based at Unit 5, The Old Mill, Main Street, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of 2 years' experience in community development working within the community sector.
- A minimum of Level 6 qualification in community development or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and administration skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills.
- An understanding of grassroots feminism.
- The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
- The ability to identify relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
- The ability to assist with the planning and delivery of relevant programmes.
- The ability to network with other community organisations.
- Access to a pension plan following completion of probation period.
- Access to hospital Saturday fund private health benefit.
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata).
- 2 additional agency days per annum.
The salary for this position is based on the WCI Development Worker Salary Scale - €31,217 (pro rata).
