About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Actuarial Graduate to join our team and contribute to our actuarial consulting, expert witness, investment consulting, financial planning, and wealth management practice.

The successful candidate will gain experience across all our practice areas and provide assistance to our senior actuaries across our expert witness, pension & investment consulting and financial planning teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform actuarial calculations for personal injury, fatal accident, garda compensation, family law, and unfair dismissal cases.
  • Calculate the capital value of future costs such as future care, home help, aids, appliances, and assistive technology.
  • Prepare draft actuarial reports for review by senior actuaries.
  • Undertake project work across our pensions department including funding valuations, accounting valuations, transfer value calculations, and risk management projects.
  • Manage client relationships and lead in providing investment strategy, fund research, and manager selection.
  • Contribute to delivering day-to-day services required by clients.
  • Attend meetings with clients and provide solutions to their requirements.
  • Support new business initiatives.
  • Assist in developing junior actuarial students.
  • Collaborate with our team of experienced actuaries and consultants to develop systems and processes to improve overall efficiency.

Requirements:

  • A strong academic background in actuarial science or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
