Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Engineer to join our team in Galway. As a key member of our multidisciplinary group, you will contribute to advancing in silico clinical trial methods in the field of acute stroke.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hemorrhagic stroke pathology and its treatment in the acute setting. They will develop clinically relevant models of aneurysm for device design and validation, compile, analyze and interpret data, collaborate with colleagues internally and externally, communicate project progress and results, and write procedures, specifications, and project reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of hemorrhagic stroke pathology and its treatment in the acute setting.
  • Develop clinically relevant models of aneurysm for device design and validation.
  • Compile, analyze and interpret data.
  • Collaborate with colleagues internally and externally, with clinicians and academic researchers.
  • Communicate project progress and results.
  • Write procedures, specifications, and project reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Masters or PhD in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Medicine or equivalent.

Experience in cardiovascular or neurovascular diseases, medical devices or instruments including catheters and stents would be desirable.

Candidate must be able to collaborate with researchers working on other topics in an international multidisciplinary team.

Candidate must possess a strong work ethic, creative problem-solving skills, and be capable of working on own initiative.

Candidate must have excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.

Candidate must have demonstrated data review and statistical methods skills.
