Job Overview

The Senior Category Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Category Managers that implements the regional procurement strategy. This role incorporates strategic and policy development aspects with medium-term consequences on the operation of the function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement plan to deliver commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), and continuous improvement projects.
  • Manage multiple regional categories/commodities across European manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient operations.
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders to capture commodity requirements, ensuring supplier qualification and quality.
  • Responsible for defining negotiation strategies, conducting negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
  • Deliver commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects, driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and quarterly supplier reviews, fostering strong relationships with suppliers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years procurement sourcing, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience, demonstrating expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinker, and strong leadership abilities, enabling effective team management and decision-making.
