Procurement Leadership Role

The Senior Category Team Manager is a critical position that oversees and manages a team of Category Managers responsible for implementing regional procurement strategies.

This role incorporates strategic and policy development aspects with medium-term consequences for the function's operation, including day-to-day management, supplier qualification, quality, and commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage regional categories/commodities across European manufacturing sites, ensuring continuity of supply and managing supplier capacity.
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality.
  • Develop and execute detailed commodity strategies, including sourcing and negotiations, delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects.
  • Mitigate supplier risk and forecast, report, and recover commodity inflation.
  • Support NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and Requests For Quotation (RFQs).

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Professional communication, both verbal and written, with strong leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of procurement sourcing, consulting, buyer, and/or analyst experience.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
