Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned commodity management professional to lead our regional categories and commodities across European manufacturing sites.

  • Manage multiple regional categories/commodities, ensuring continuity of supply and mitigating supplier risk.
  • Partner with regional procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for commodity detailing projects, including resource allocation and expected benefits.
  • Execute sourcing projects, including RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.
  • Define negotiation strategies, including supplier profiles, commercial targets, switching costs, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Conduct or support negotiations and supplier selection, ensuring contract lifecycle management and compliance.
  • Promote commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects.
  • Support supplier segmentation, SRM, and quarterly reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity.
  • Create supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of professionals in managing multiple regional categories/commodities.
  • Collaborate with regional procurement teams to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure efficient transitions of suppliers as needed, minimizing disruptions to operations.
  • Develop and manage commodity strategies, including pricing, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Monitor and mitigate supplier risk, including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Support Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR), providing updates on projects, metrics, strategy, and countermeasures.
