Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our scientific team in Dublin. As a key member of the Lab Services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional scientific support and ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory services.

  • You will lead a team of scientists and technicians, providing guidance and direction to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Maintenance, cleaning, and documentation of laboratory instruments is essential, including pipettes, balances, PH meters, biological safety cabinets, freezers, and other equipment.
  • You will train and mentor new team members, develop training programs, and ensure full cross-training is in place to develop the team and provide cover for all required service tasks.
  • Effective communication with the Site Manager is critical to ensure information is shared effectively and actions are taken immediately.
  • You will lead by example, promoting a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements:

  • Background: Degree in Chemistry or Biology
  • Experience: Previous customer-facing role, pharmaceutical sector experience essential
  • Technical skills: proficiency in Excel and SAP preferred
  • Previous people management experience
  • Technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and people-first attitude
  • Valid driving license
