About the Role

This is a strategic and hands-on position, requiring close collaboration with senior leadership to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and enhance reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and performance reports, providing valuable insights to inform decision-making and foster continuous improvement.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, offering practical recommendations to management to optimize financial outcomes.
  • Lead the month-end process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and management reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support preparation and submission of funding applications or reports, as applicable.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely delivery of accurate financial data and maintaining compliance with relevant standards.
  • Work closely with internal departments to identify reporting needs, provide meaningful KPIs, and create clear financial presentations.
  • Liaise with external providers overseeing payroll, tax compliance, AP, and other financial functions.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical and operational standards across all finance-related activities.
Requirements:
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance or accounting role, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills, comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
