Lead Accounting Professional

Role Overview:

  • This pivotal role oversees a team, managing workloads, ensuring deadlines are met, and providing leadership to maintain a high-performing collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a growing accounting team.
  • Review and oversee financial statements, valuations, and client reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Efficiently manage workloads while meeting client service levels and regulatory deadlines.
  • Provide coaching, training, and continuous development for team members.
  • Act as the key liaison with clients, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive improvements in processes, automation, and reporting quality.
  • Contribute to the department's strategic goals and business priorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • 10+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Experience reviewing financial statements.
  • Proven people leadership, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage teams.
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.
  • Private equity fund accounting knowledge (or willingness to develop quickly).
