Project Manager for New Access Road Project

Our client is a national building and civil engineering contractor seeking a highly experienced project manager to oversee the construction of a new access road, roundabout, and associated works beside University College Dublin (UCD).

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the 2.5-year project, which includes designing and implementing a new access road, roundabout, roadworks, bus corridor, footpaths, and all associated works. This is a standalone role that requires strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project from initiation to completion
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, utility companies, and the general public
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians in the design and implementation of the project
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, health and safety standards, quality control, and environmental regulations
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Monitor and control project costs, resources, and timelines

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in coordinating temporary works and traffic management would be an advantage
